How to tell if your CPU is overheating? You're using an AMD FX 8350 on a Gigabyte 970A DS3P with a Thermaltake case that has two intake and one exhaust fans. The cooler you have is the original one that came with the CPU. Your system is around 2.5 years old and hasn't had many issues before. You play Vainglory on an emulator, but after long gaming sessions your PC restarts on its own without warning—it's happening often now, isn't it a concern? Also, your CPU fan gets very noisy over time. You're considering upgrading to a water cooler, preferably a mid-range Corsair H series model. What should you do? Help me out here!

It's a low-quality unit, but you can check the CPU temperature while playing. If it's under 80°C, consider using a better PSU and try again. The package lists 70, and I looked up a lot of info—many say 80 is okay for their use.

Check CPU temperature while playing with tools such as HWinfo. Random restarts may result from various problems. The PSU model might be relevant—what model is yours?

with this setup you should refresh it as well, repasting the CPU cooler would help with temperature monitoring and other tasks, you could also use hwinfo for that.
