Alright long story short i got a new 3600x as a cpu and recently it's been running kinda hot so i went in ryzen master and changed the voltage to 1v and 3.8 ghz on all cores.And as soon as i clicked "apply".It insta bsod.So i was like "oh ok it doesn't want me to do that" So i stopped messing with the voltage whatsoever but my question is, could i have damaged my cpu from that one bsod? I mean it automatically resetted to stock, and i do have it on stock everything so i don't want to wake up one day getting 1,5k Blue screens every nanosecond, if you know what i mean.

How warm it gets depends on the mounting pressure of the cooler. The way you spread the thermal paste on your 3600x matters—using a single small amount in the middle of HS isn't ideal on a Zen 2 or Ryzen 3000 because the chip placement has changed.

It's not that intense, don't worry. The temperature range of 60-80°C varies depending on the game. But I tend to get nervous easily. I did this about two days ago and everything was fine on my PC. I'm just curious if it could cause any harm.

Are you employing the stock cooler? You might consider applying a negative offset voltage ranging from 0.05 to 0.1v to reduce your voltage.

I'm opting for a cooler CPU model with the Cooler CPU ID-Cooling SE-224 RGB. It's not the top choice, but it works fine.

Reapply thermal compound and cooler. When spreading, use the spread or double line method. Try applying a negative offset voltage between 0.05v and 0.1v to check if it improves temperature control. Disable PBO (PrecisionBoostOverride) instead of Precision Boost.

It's hard to say for sure after that crash. It might be worth checking if the system is damaged, but it's also possible it's just a temporary issue.

Sure thing, buddy. I've checked the details and it looks like enabling Power Saver on Windows might have affected your performance. With a RTX 2080S, it seems the CPU could be getting a bottleneck. The test results showed lower GPU usage during Fire Strike, but the overall impact on CPU speed was noticeable. Let me know if you want more info!
