There are some challenging issues here, but I’m trying to gather some guidance.
I installed a Windows 11 update yesterday and now I can’t restore my taskbar or start button. Worse still, with the display problem—my laptop starts up only in black—I can’t access safe mode or recovery options because the screen goes black. When the desktop loads, all my program icons are on the left but there’s no taskbar or start button. I have to open Task Manager and run a new task called "explorer.exe" just to view my files. The Windows shortcuts don’t work (just pressing the Windows button plus a command). I can launch a new task to open the control panel, but even that is limited—I managed a system restore, but it didn’t fix the taskbar issue. I’m also unable to reach my laptop settings. I haven’t tried any tools or downloads to help, and nothing appears as being downloaded or during the process.
I ran an SFC and DISM scan, but it didn’t solve the problem. Right now, Microsoft Edge is the only browser that opens.
At this stage, I’m not confident about finding a solution and am thinking about reinstalling Windows, though I’m unsure how to proceed.
It seems like there’s a lot of problems, and I’m not sure if it can be fixed.
Thanks in advance.

You might attempt a system restore before the update caused the problem, but it seems you're reinstalling the OS after setting up the Windows 11 bootable USB. The real issue likely lies with your drivers or the OS itself. Asus produces many products, so I'm wondering which specific Asus item you were talking about from the start...?

I own the TUF Gaming A15 R7-6800H/16gb/512GB SSD/RTX3060 laptop.
I attempted to download or set up a Windows 11 recovery, but I’m having trouble accessing anything. I’ll check if updating my drivers helps.

I could only reach the device manager, which indicated I had the latest drivers installed.
