This results in a more consistent voltage during operation and reduces the Vcore usage, making the system more stable at lower voltages. It may require more power from your motherboard and PSU, but this is consistent across any overclocking attempt. I achieved a voltage of 1.275 with the largest spike at 1.314 during an Intel Extreme Utility stress test. That's exactly what I was discussing! Thanks for your help.
