Is my 1080ti still fixable?
I own an Evga 1080ti SC2 that no longer plays games, though it can still show videos. I can run a game for around five or six minutes before it starts to crash and then stops working entirely. I haven’t tried older, lower-intensity titles like 2D platformers, but games such as Nier Automata and the Resident Evil 2 remake all stop within five or six minutes, whereas my card previously handled those without issues. My friend, who is more experienced with computer hardware, suggested replacing the thermal pads and paste, which they did, but my card still freezes and crashes during gameplay. I’m not sure exactly when or how it failed, but I suspect the VRAM might be damaged. If fixing it isn’t an option, I’d like to know for certain which component is faulty. I have a photo of this card and hope there’s a repair service available for around 300 dollars or a bit more. Before giving it away, it still played most games I wanted it to work perfectly at 1440p.
Is the VRAM affected or is there another issue? If fixing it isn't an option, I want to be certain which component is faulty. You should find a nearby repair shop to check the problem and possibly provide a repair cost estimate if it's fixable.

By the way, could you share your build details? Please include CPU, cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, chassis, operating system, monitor specs, and the age of the PSU along with its make and model? Also, let me know the BIOS version for your motherboard.
It seems your card has been running hot. You might have damaged it during use.
