To get a newer or faster processor right now, what should I buy if my current computer is an ASUS X550LA and it has an Intel Core i7-4500U running at 2.7 GHz?

If you are looking for a motherboard, you'll find that the processor is already glued on top of it. If you want to change the processor, you'll have to take out this whole board and get a new one. I've been checking the specs on the laptop, and the highest numbers I'm seeing are an i7-4500U, so there really isn't any room for improvement in terms of upgrading the chip here.
