I’m thinking about getting a Patriot Viper 4 DDR4 RAM with 16GB and 3000MHz speeds. Does anyone have a preference, or should I look into other options?

The RAM will have a specific value in its name, typically Cxx = xx where xx is a number. C16 or C18 are the most common options. Your RAM should work fine. Which board or CPU are you matching it with?
