Is it still worth getting Star Citizen early?
BNZ works well in many flight battles. I often used it with my Fw190 and heavier fighters in Warthunder. For escort missions, Hornet might be better, but the 325A could be faster. It’s unclear which handles heavier ships better—usually that depends on gameplay experience. I’ve checked a few details but haven’t found a clear winner yet.
@ solarflare The 325A offers speed and agility, while the Hornet excels in close combat. It features a bed for extended flights—useful in certain situations. Its capabilities could easily take down formations like constellations. Overall, the 325A is reliable across various scenarios. Likely best suited for solo pilots or small groups of experienced fighters. The Hornet seems limited to dedicated dogfighter enthusiasts or larger teams.
Are there any single-player ships bigger and more heavily armed than the two mentioned? Or are all the bigger ships, such as Constellation’s multi-person crews, similar in design?
You have a compact fighter with limited features—no interior, no sleeping space, just basic functionality. For something more substantial, consider a heavier model with similar capabilities. If you're after a more advanced option, the Avenger stands out with its added comforts, though it requires two people to operate. There are other alternatives available, but they aren't currently on the market.
I believe many buyers hesitate here because the costs in these deals leave them uncertain. I need something I can expand on while still keeping my protection roll for mercs. If other games show what people actually do, I don’t want a ship that can’t handle bigger ships since pirates usually have both light and heavy vessels. Warthunder had talented pilots who could take on heavy fighters and use them as zoom and boom fighters. This lets small fighters maneuver well but they tend to have more firepower, a strong rear gunner, and often move faster in tight spaces with extra armor. The issue is if you miss a critical hit, they’d absorb your shots and then overwhelm you during a close encounter.
