Is it safe to use it or should you avoid it?
When New World was released, I had several friends who wanted to join in and play together. I’d heard about issues where graphics cards would become unusable during the beta because of New World, but it seemed those problems were fixed at launch. On the first day, I played normally all day, but the next day when trying to start the game, it would brick the GPU instantly. I owned an EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 BLACK. At that time, EVGA mentioned some soldering problems on their GPUs. I replaced it with a new one from my PC manufacturer, believing the issue was resolved. I thought it was safe to try again and keep playing. Unfortunately, the same problem occurred when attempting to launch the game once more. I realized I should have been more careful and decided against trying again, even though I wanted to enjoy a game with my friends. Later, I got another replacement from the same PC manufacturer, but this time they installed an MSI RTX 3080 GAMING Z TRIO LHR and didn’t attempt to play afterward.
Now, long after New World’s launch, a few friends are interested in revisiting it. I’m hesitant because of past experiences. Are there any major risks now? Do my current PC specifications increase the chances of something going wrong?
PC Specs:

RAM – 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO
GPU – MSI RTX 3080 GAMING Z TRIO LHR
Power Supply – EVGA 850W Gold
It wasn't the game itself, but a poor selection of EVGA and Gigabyte GPUs.
New World remains a stable platform according to Amazon Games.
Despite reports of some 3090 GPUs failing in the beta testing phase, Amazon Games maintains that New World is still safe to play.
They have issued a statement addressing concerns raised by GamesRadar+ regarding the bricking of certain RTX 3090 graphics cards during the MMO's beta.
If you have details about a particular model, it might be worth checking the MSI forums for more information.
