It's safe to proceed. Avoid using your ISP's DNS servers. I rely on Google DNS, but also use OpenDSN and Cloudflare. They translate website addresses into the IP addresses sites use. The servers I mentioned usually perform better.
Occasionally people should try this advice, as it might confuse entire nations into lower performance. For instance, most major free DNS services are about 30-35 ms away, while my ISP only needs 3 ms. That’s not a universal fact, but in my other response I mentioned otherwise. If another provider offers faster speeds than my current one, then it makes sense, but for me the difference is minimal—every big alternative is at least 35 ms.
