Many of you are aware that Grand Theft Auto V is currently available to download without cost through the Epic Games Store. I already possess GTA V installed via the Rockstar Launcher, however, this installation is linked to a friend’s account. I would like to play the game utilizing my own account within the Epic Games Launcher, but I’m hesitant to re-download the substantial 90 gigabytes of files. My inquiry is whether it’s possible to leverage the existing files I downloaded through Rockstar Launcher, thus avoiding a redundant download.

Begin the download process from EPIC once the directories are established, then halt the download, transfer the files from your previous installation into the designated new folders, initiate a fresh download, and it should verify the files and update only what’s necessary. This method appears to function effectively with Steam.

Begin the download process from EPIC immediately after the system generates the directories, then halt the download and transfer the files from your previous installation into the newly formed folders. Initiate the download again; it should verify the files and update only what is required. This method appears to function effectively with Steam.

Is that possible? You can join friends within the Social Club (rockstargames) by requesting their Social Club ID or username while playing GTA. Simply press the Home key to access the menu and see the available options.
