Here’s a rewritten version of your text, aiming for clarity and flow:

“I'm looking to set up a dedicated gaming space in my room. My current PC is located in the basement, and I was wondering about the best way to connect it to a monitor upstairs.

Ideally, I’d like to use my existing rig – which is currently running in the basement – to game from my bedroom. The room above the basement is perfect for this, but I don't want to invest heavily in a new gaming PC.

Could I simply run an HDMI cable directly from the PC in the basement to a monitor upstairs? Also, how should I connect the keyboard and mouse to the upstairs monitor? Is it possible to use my existing setup in the basement to host my games while having a separate monitor upstairs?”

Thanks,
Chris

“I'm considering setting up a dedicated gaming space in my room. My current PC is located in the basement, but I’d like to use it for gaming regularly. I’m wondering if it’s feasible to connect the PC upstairs using an HDMI cable – perhaps directly from the rig to a monitor and keyboard/mouse. Given that my bedroom is above the basement, a direct connection seems possible. However, I'm unsure about the best way to connect the keyboard and mouse upstairs and want to avoid spending a lot of money on a new gaming rig. Is it realistic to use my existing PC in the basement for hosting games while having a monitor, keyboard, and mouse upstairs? Could I simply run an HDMI cable from the basement PC directly to an upstairs monitor?”

Would you like me to make any further adjustments or focus on a specific aspect of your question?

There are such services that are designed to stream from your gaming PC as a base, and they're for the most part free to use.
Refer to this article. What you're looking for is the ones that stream from "Your Gaming PC".
It's basically Steam Link, Remotr, Rainway, and Nvidia GameStream (requires Nvidia GPU).
