Is it possible to store your Google Drive files on your hard drive?
Almost everything I have ever used is stored in Google Drive via Google docs. If something were to go wrong with a Google server, it would be risky, which made me think about moving my files to another storage device.
Your information being stored in just one place is a worry. It doesn't matter if it's on Google, OneDrive, or a PC hard drive.
Would you like me to copy or paste this? I can't access my Drive with a large number of files. That should work!
Perfectly, I’d like a method without using the Windows client—like downloading a drive image or another backup option. If anyone knows of such a solution, let me know, but otherwise this approach should be fine.
It is currently hosted at Google, isn't it?
If you need a backup copy locally, copying or pasting is equivalent to downloading.
The client mentioned will sync, but the initial sync may take some time based on your data size.
Once that's done...only the new or modified content will be updated.
