I've already shifted the Start button to the left, that's acceptable. Can I relocate the Power button even further to the extreme left, directly above it (just beside my mug shot)? It would be easier if I could move my mouse all the way to the right of the start menu—about 7 inches—to reach the power off option.

The right-click menu is now available on the start menu. Shutting down or signing out appears almost directly above the mouse, with the desktop positioned between them—no need to physically move a button. I believe the only way to achieve what you want would be to use an alternative shell. Other start menus in those shells might offer this option. You could set up a shortcut on the taskbar using the command shutdown /s /t 0 in the command line.

If the device is close enough and you just require the power options for a single task, you might set the power switch on your computer to perform that action.
