The game faced significant criticism from both critics and players due to its poor gameplay. It seems the developers may have addressed those issues, though it still gets mostly negative reviews. I played it using Origin and found it to be quite tolerable. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 1600af overclocked to 4.0 ghz, 16 GB dual-channel 3000MHz RAM, an RX 5700 graphics card with a 1080p monitor at 60 Hz, and VSync enabled. I’m averaging around 43 fps on ultra settings and 50 on high. Does that align with your expectations?

It seemed to work on my FX 8350 setup, but that wasn't ideal due to heavy optimization—CPU cache problems and poor tuning. The game had issues since it was developed with incomplete features and unmet promises. While others appreciated it, my friends were disappointed, so I treated the project similarly. I enjoyed the experience, preferring it over Warframe or whatever the gaming group favored. On my R7 1700 with the same GPU, performance improved noticeably in frames and loading times, though not dramatically.

Being truthful (I played for at least 50 hours from a free origin access, lol) I liked it a bit. The storm game was enjoyable, especially the ability to fly almost forever is entertaining. The part that quickly became boring was its excessive repetition. Flying was okay (I played for at least 50 hours in under a month, so I’m sure that shows I had fun). However, after some time quests feel pretty similar. Gathering resources feels like a chore and events repeat even across different seasons. Also, bugs were a problem. Some quests had noticeable issues. I faced them multiple times in the snow area with a big relic looking object. But that’s just me. It’s fun but repetitive.

I recall liking the demo back then, though I believe the game lacks clear direction. It seems disorienting, confusing, and not particularly enjoyable. Probably a decent game for casual, mindless play on a second screen via YouTube, but there are definitely more engaging options available.

I notice the game feels repetitive after just a few hours of play. The same enemies keep appearing, which is frustrating. While it runs smoothly at high settings, I wasn’t expecting performance issues on my GPU. My VRAM usage is near maximum (80-90%), and my CPU stays around 60% most of the time.

I understand... it was quite puzzling at first. I felt a bit confused about the crafting and alchemy sections.

Anthem is essentially a poor imitation of Destiny 2 and Warframe. For a sci-fi looter shooter experience, those two should be your choice.
