It's okay if the SATA ports are close to your GPU, as long as they don't press too hard and cause any issues.

it doesn't but wires are in front of fans they don't interact with yet they're present and the gpu seems elevated since the sata cable is beneath it

If gpu works fine, then it's seated fine.
