Hey, I was experiencing extremely slow performance, around hundreds of kbps, while my actual speed should be about 12 with a bandwidth of 50. Everything else was fine—just my brother playing online on his Xbox and my mum and dad watching TV. I started troubleshooting and tried reseating the device, restarting the router, but it didn’t help. Since my phone and iPad had strong connections here, I checked the phone again and noticed the contacts seemed misaligned. I’m wondering if this was intentional by the manufacturer or if the person who built it made a mistake. Also, I’m curious about the card model—it’s a D-Link DWA 582 AC1200.

Upon closer inspection, it's clear the contact pads aren't just missing—they're not reaching their intended positions. This suggests a deliberate design choice. Your problem likely lies elsewhere. Have you attempted to reinstall the drivers?

I hadn't realized it before, but the problem didn't fix itself. Later I noticed the screw hole was pulling contacts out of the socket, and the case included a clamp-style attachment that I used—it works much better now.
