I just got a custom PC at my local flea market, but I don't know if it's actually built or not. Before I talk about anything else, I need to tell you that I am new to computers and never worked with one before, so I might be bad. I have taken some pictures of the computer and the bag of wires that came with it. I really don't know if everything is there or if something is missing. Even though this machine looks super fancy like a high-end PC, things change fast in tech, so I can't say for sure how good it is right now. So I am asking anyone here to help me figure out what parts are included and give some advice on fixing or running this thing. My 13-year-old son loves playing Xbox and always wanted his own PC. His birthday is coming up soon and I would really like to get this computer working so he can play for his party. Thank you for your time and joining the forum. https://imgur.com/a/Dpw4IlZ

What are the specs if I tell you what they all are? Do you know why the GPU isn't getting power? How much did you pay for this? The Molex plug on the board looks old. This is probably an ancient motherboard: https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/cros...knowledge/

I don't know about the settings or what kind of graphics card you need. It's not plugged in, even though I checked if that power cable is attached. I bought this thing for eight hundred dollars.

You spent way too much for this. You could have built a modern, way better system than this one with the same money. Let's start by figuring out what make and model of power supply it is. Look at the label on the side of the PSU itself. The info you need will be there too. Can you tell me if liquid is actually in the cooling system?

No liquid is inside this cooling system, and it uses a gold power supply labeled "Supernova 00G2 1300".

DON'T TURN IT ON RIGHT NOW! It'll start cooking on its own very soon. Can I turn it off now so I can get my money back?

I get it. I didn't do that unless I added some plain tap water and checked every step carefully. No money back here. That's fine.

This motherboard was a flop back in the 2010s. It will not run modern games well at all. The power supply unit (PSU) has way too much for this whole system. You need to start by connecting the PCIe power cables from your graphics card and PSU. Google the specific make and model of your PSU to find its manual. Then pick out the right cables from the bunch and plug them in correctly. You will also have to trace a bundle of wires or cables to see if the pump is actually connected to the power source.

I checked out the power supply and it seems pretty good. The price on Amazon is $499.
