Hey there!
I’m working with an older setup, and some components are really not up to par. But I’m trying to stay within a tight budget right now.
Hardware: STRIX B450-F motherboard
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
GPU: EVGA 1080ti Founders Edition
RAM: 32GB (probably the 2133 but it’s showing as 1064)
Storage: A bunch of small SSDs plus a mechanical 2TB drive
I mostly play games like Call of Duty and don’t need every frame to be perfect.
I’m wondering if adding a few upgrades could help—like
RAM: 32GB GSKILL DDR4 3200MT (2x16)
Storage: Two Teamgroup Mp33 2TB NVMe 1.3 M.2
Would that make a difference? Right now I’m averaging about 45-60 FPS.
Also, my CPU only has the stock fan. I was thinking about getting a newer model so the fans don’t spin too loud (like Men in Black tunnel).
Appreciate any tips. We all get a lot of questions like this and it can get frustrating.
