I recently relocated my setup to another room and am limited to using this unstable plastic table. It's strong enough to handle my heavy PC, but shaking occurs when using the mouse or even typing. Will this affect performance or is it acceptable?

It might be better to focus on other aspects. You could also place the PC directly on the floor beneath the desk...

There is one of those plastic tables with square or round legs that fit into matching holes in the corners. Any screws? Consider inserting cardboard pieces into the joints to secure them better. It might require some testing and adjusting to cut and fit the cardboard, particularly if you want it hidden.

It might also be possible to find a solid wooden table at no charge or very cheaply elsewhere...

Another option is to visit the nearby shop such as Walmart or order online from Amazon to find an affordable end table.

I've relied on a plastic folding table for many years, and my PC has never had any problems. The only equipment that might be at risk is an HDD, as the spinning components inside could be affected by constant movement. You're more likely to hurt your PC by accidentally damaging it or by the table collapsing than by parts failing due to wobbling.

You should consider whether, if the table fails, you can still afford to buy a new PC.
