I'm searching for a game with a group setting and tactical approaches, offering stealth mechanics. I've found Horizon Zero Dawn to be quite average. Are there other titles that fit this style?
An unusual suggestion would be the Dishonored series because of its excellent stealth elements. Alternatively, you might try older Assassins Creed titles and similar games.
A) Horizon Zero Dawn is amazing.. HOW DARE YOU!!!! /s but really it is an amazing game. Next up I would say is Assasins Creed Odyssey and Valhalla are 2 great ones that have a lot of stealth type mechanics.

I'm unlikely to be the best person to discuss this. I've only recently explored the Stalker series this winter. I purchased Stalker C.O.P., the third entry, which has a dated look but is relatively free of bugs. I can't judge whether the stealth system works well or poorly. The AI would also be worth mentioning. There were some cool scenes where I silently approached a soldier near a building entrance at night with my suppressed weapon. I suspected others were nearby through the interface, but didn't know their location. By moving very slowly to stay hidden, I accidentally spotted another soldier in a different room who was hiding behind a door. He was positioned to shoot at the entrance or someone trying to steal from the fallen guard. I noticed he was facing away, about fifteen feet away, sitting in a corner spot and remained silent. Sound and noise also played a role in the experience. I was surprised by what I saw, wondering what I was actually looking at. I studied him for a few seconds before deciding to leave. Just in case someone else quietly joined from another entrance, I spent extra time staying quiet. That patience paid off—I managed to play the game and tried it out, hoping for a more immersive single-player feel like Tarkov. - It's a modest open world, with three areas that reveal themselves as you move through the story. You can switch back and forth between them, paying a fee for NPC guidance.
I found it pretty lacking. It looks good on the surface with pretty graphics and all, but the open world is empty, lifeless and doesn't really offer anything besides repetitive side tasks and generic unmemorable side stories. Odyssey is an amazing game with a great open world. I can easily recommend that aswell. Valhalla is a very bloated game imo. At some point you get so many different side activities and simultaneously running storylines that you just lose sight of what you're even trying to achieve.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 offers a unique experience, similar to how Arma 3 featured bases that could be captured in side quests. However, nothing I played matches the depth of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. It's disappointing that later entries stuck to standard missions. Remember Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl included stealth options, and Cyberpunk 2077 lets you eliminate entire enemy groups without detection. This game supports various playstyles, making each experience distinct.
