I’m experiencing a performance issue with the stream. At 1440p and 144Hz, the setup is very high quality, causing CPU and GPU strain. I plan to upgrade in three months—any suggestions to ease the bottleneck?

Boost your CPU speed to stay competitive. However, that’s essentially all you need. If you’re seeing sufficient frames, skip upgrades. For better performance, invest in the newest components. I’d hold off on the Ryzen 4000 line until then.

Don't try to control the CPU. Close all background processes. I recommend using smartclose from the provided link—it will remove unnecessary items and see if it helps.

I'm planning a complete overhaul using the RTX 3080 when it finally arrives. I'm updating my PC right now.

It’s not the main issue you’re facing. You can ease the bottleneck without overclocking—just adjust the BCLK if you have a Z-board. Skip swapping the 2070; go with Zen 3 and it should work fine.

I've had enough of under 144 hz in games. I won't upgrade just a CPU because it's not worth it. I'm getting the 2070 Super for around 200 bucks—don't bother asking about future updates. No need to wait for a new generation; just buy something top-end and enjoy for the next few years before switching again.
