I’m searching for affordable platformers under $10. Are there any deals I should know about? I prefer games without intense difficulty—avoiding tough titles like Super Meat Boy. A 360 controller would be a nice extra.

Dust an Elysian Tail Ori and the Blind Forest Both are the best platformers you can buy on PC right now in my opinion. Amazing gameplay and story, music. I am yet to finish Ori but Dust is so far my all times favourite (may change after I beat Ori). EDIT: also Rayman Legends is very good platformer.

I already have it in my cart, but I'm not keen on buying for just 19 cents. Great ideas! I own Dust on PS4 and Rayman on Wii U. Ori seems really cool. The bright colors remind me of Trine (which I also have on Wii U). It's more than I expected to spend, but I'll look at some Let's Plays to check it out.

Ori has an amazing artistic flair. I prefer it much more than Trine 1 and 2. Sadly, Trine 3 didn’t live up to expectations—it turned out to be quite disappointing. I really dislike it because they changed it into a 3D platformer and removed some elements that were there before.

Dust AET offers a compelling narrative and strong screenwriting. It's manageable without needing full completion. Trine 1 & 2—though they were discounted on Steam last week, you can find them on GOG.com.

If you enjoy puzzle-platformers, consider Limbo. Also worth mentioning are Psychonauts as a solid choice.

There aren't many exceptional platformers, but side-scrollers offer some solid choices. Here are my top 10 (in alphabetical order). Child of Light Deadlight FEZ Limbo Mark of the Ninja Ori and the Blind Forest Rayman (series) Shank (series) Trine (series) Valiant Hearts: The Great War I also suggests checking out This War of Mine—it's a bit different but definitely worth a look. I don't know the prices yet, but the upcoming steam holiday sale is expected in a month so...
