Yes, you're correct. If you purchase a replacement, it must match the same wattage. Should the original fail, I'd opt for two new units and swap them, while keeping the working one as a safety measure.

Have you ever worked with 2U servers? They tend to be quite noisy. Without more detailed visuals, I wouldn't recommend them. The reason is that 2U servers focus on controlling airflow. They use baffles and structures to guide air through passive heatsinks. The lid of the case (shown in the picture you shared) plays a key role in maintaining proper airflow. If a fan stops working, all other fans increase their speed dramatically. This is problematic, especially in a data center setting. If I were you, I’d opt for an HP ML350 (4U) or a Xeon workstation instead of a 2U server.
