Is Grayscale producing a shade of pink to deep red?
Hello!
My printer (Epson Workforce WF 7720) is now printing grayscale on red/purpleish shades, using matte paper.

I’m not sure if I altered any settings, but I didn’t make any changes.
I’ve already reset all default and factory settings on the device.
I also looked up the problem and found that my cartridges might be running low, even though they seemed full, which did help somewhat, but it didn’t fully fix the issue. See the next photo for an example.

The first print was made a few months back without any color issues. The second one, printed today, shows gray tones that look a bit purple.
I really don’t want to use grayscale because it affects the color quality in the drawing.
I tried plan paper as well, but it’s only slightly better, and I’m still unsure why the problem continues on matte paper.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! I have a convention coming up and this needs fixing quickly.
🙁
The printer is also out of warranty, so I can’t contact official support.
Thank you in advance!
When the head is positioned on the tank or is removable, you can position it on a damp cloth or cotton soaked in water and alcohol for a few hours. Afterward, print a test page. Many printers also offer a "Head cleaning mode."
