Hi! I'm checking if playing games such as GTA VC or GTA SA will affect the hard drive or RAM of my old HP Pavilion G6 from around 2011. I thought it probably wouldn't, but I want to be sure since my PC didn't boot after a hard drive issue during a game session, even though it met all the requirements at the time. Thanks!

Heat damages a PC's components.
In one case, a game caused damage to a part, while another game had no effect on the hard drive.
Drives often fail simply because of heat.

Thank you for your feedback. I think the issue wasn't due to the disk itself, but the game might have been responsible for the hard drive failure. The technician who repaired my computer told me so.

The technology is deceiving you, so I won't return there. Or maybe he's just extremely unskilled.

When playing games, the PC regularly updates different parts of the game files from the storage. Does this raise the amount of data being used or cause the drive to work harder?

He lacks understanding.
Playing games doesn't diminish the passion more than any other activity.
