Hey there! It sounds like you had high hopes for Far Cry 4 Coop but were let down by the campaign limitations. I’m curious—do you think the game still offers value at 30 euros each, especially if you’re not into single-player? Would you say the co-op experience makes up for the lack of solo missions?

I haven’t played the co-op before, so honestly the single-player mode looks amazing—really miss out if you don’t try it!

I don’t feel the need to pay 30 € for what feels like just single-player gameplay from Far Cry 3 mixed with Assassin’s Creed elements. I loved FC3, but a new country isn’t enough if it doesn’t offer something meaningful. If Coop is only about running around without real purpose, I’m not sure I’m interested.

I thought it was worth it—it’s similar to Far Cry 3, but actually much better. The setting, storyline, weapons, and all that matter. That’s fair enough; I get where you’re coming from. The co-op feels like a big sandbox if you have a good friend with you.

It might work better once the cost drops.

I strongly disliked FC4. Annoying foes with mystical abilities, DRM-driven weapons, console release (due to my outdated system needing a peasant-like setup) f****** 2D trees. If you want to secure an outpost for a mission, you can't scout too far or risk being eliminated. OH, signing up for Uplay is necessary to play System Link. Yay, DRM! The moral decisions might have been better, but they already fail at the first step. You could pick to retrieve a file or assist a few soldiers in battle. Everyone thinks you're some kind of superhero right now, since they're furious because "you let them perish." Even though your only action was sneaking around and swimming. Oh, the atmosphere is total w*****. In FC2, danger would be real—knowing you could die from malaria attacks at any moment. In FC3, it would feel insane, lonely, and close to death. In FC4, you'd ride a m******* elephant into a camp run by a gay dictator in a pink m****** suit who kills with a pen. That sounds more like a movie than a game. And last but not least, the villains were edited on April 15, 2015 by Stijncat

It might have some solid sections, but keep in mind the flaws seen in Watchdogs. Ubisoft has definitely taken lessons from their errors. One thing I really appreciate is the grappling mechanics—I’d love for them to develop a whole game centered around it.

The main point is that Far Cry 3 was simply superior. Far Cry 4 is not especially a "bad" game, though the X360 version had some issues. If you haven't played any Far Cry titles before, FC4 could be enjoyable. However, if you enjoyed FC3 for its mood and authenticity, FC4 might not live up to expectations. I still think the cooperative mode in FC4 was solid, and it's nice that Ubisoft acknowledges the value of multiplayer. I recommend checking out a demo first to see if it suits your taste!

I've tried it for a while now, but I wasn't really satisfied with the single-player mode. The main concern remains: does this game justify a purchase?
