You'd find it much simpler to obtain a superior CPU cooler if you need that additional cooling, but be cautious about trying it on more powerful processors first.

A secured CPU seems pointless to someone who can experiment with an open chip, especially when exploring things like DICE cooling.

If you're unsure about the performance of those CPUs when overclocked, it might be best to skip the upgrade and stick with a Ryzen 3 using a B450 socket. Otherwise, removing the chip would be the only choice. I wouldn't recommend trying to remove a locked component.

Sure, just for fun—though it doesn’t add much value. People often soldered CPUs like the 2600k, which only makes sense to someone who’s a bit of a tinkerer.
