Is Cyberpunk 2077 getting slow to load?
I tried to get this game refunded yesterday but it was denied because I took too long. It's not that I don't want to play; I had a lot of trouble fixing the problems. When I first got the game, the frames were terrible and most often my screen would drop down to 6 fps for a while. After doing a lot of troubleshooting, most issues are fixed except one: stuttering every five seconds, which makes the game really hard to enjoy. I wanted to see if anyone had other ideas, here is how I've tried so far: I updated Windows and my graphics card drivers. I changed my monitor's native resolution from 4k down to 2560 by 1440. I set the graphic settings to medium and brought the screen resolution down, then turned on DLSS for better performance. By this time the terrible frame drops stopped completely, and I went into application settings in Windows, set priority high for the game. Stutters seemed to stop for a period but when I went back into the game they came back again. Then I tried turning vsync on and off to see if that made any difference. Turning vsync on helped with screen tearing and didn't cause any stutter issues at all when it was turned on. At this point I can play for a short time without stuttering, but after a while the stutter comes back again. I have watched my system performance closely and at no point did my GPU or CPU reach 100%. Any other ideas? System specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, 2 TB Samsung 980 M.2, Asus Strix B450-I
I turned off a feature called steam overlay and it didn't make the stuttering go away.
