I know there are tons of free programs that let you watch DVDs on your PC's optical drive like VLC player. But I have an old Dell computer running Windows 8.1 with Bing included. It comes with a bunch of software bundled up in the CyberLink suite, including things like LabelPrint 2.5, Media Essentials, Power2Go 8, Power Director 10, Power DVD 12, Desktop Burning Gadget, ISO Viewer, and Virtual Drive. I'm wondering if I can move all those programs onto a USB stick to another computer without buying them again (since the Dell bundle seems to have included everything). Is it worth transferring this stuff through the USB across computers? And just out of curiosity, is CyberLink actually good software?

If you see ads promising apps will move from one computer to another, check what they actually support carefully. If it's something that came with a Dell machine, chances are it won't work well or even at all when installed on an HP computer. It probably won't fit the new system unless you bought it for that exact old Dell.

If you see software claiming it moves apps from one computer to another, be careful checking what systems they support. If these programs were part of a package bought at Dell, they probably won't run on an HP or any other brand except the machine they came with originally.
