Is CSGO still facing enough restrictions?
Is CSGO still facing enough restrictions?
I get it, the situation is tough right now. It seems like nobody matches my rank in the matchmaking areas. *This is real*—there was a Nova Master on the opposing side who cleared the 50-kill mark! It’s surprising, isn’t it? I’m pretty sure he was likely an experienced or legendary smurf.
GN4/MG1 are quite alike in terms of skills, and there are some excellent games out there. I once messed with a game that had around 8 MVP, then the next one was lower, and the team tried to challenge me.
Currently, at the supreme/GE level there are some questionable individuals. Their approach seems either overly ambitious or simply flawless execution. While they don’t consider hacking in CS since every game can be won, the situation is quite frustrating to play through.
Alright. I'm going to blow your mind, this is coming from someone that fought their way through gold nova to DMG. Do you want to know a secret? People ranked DMG/LE, and people ranked GNM, MG, MG2, all have the same amount of skill. That's it. I've played against people in mg who are better than anyone i've played in dmg or le. There is so little difference between the ranks in that area that it's almost completely meaningless. Now silver, and gold nova, they have they're skills, but until you get to LEM pretty much everyone plays the same. No, it's not smurfs, No it's not boosters, No it's not anything but people playing. Don't get me wrong, every handful of games you might run into someone deranking, or someone who's obviously a smurf, but the vast majority of times its just people playing, because the difference between an MG and a DMG or even LE is almost nothing. The only tangible difference is game sense and team work. That's all that's different between LE and MG, individual skill varies little between the two.
I interact with some players who join at MG for LE. One friend is a global smurf, and we face MG to DMG. If they’re really bad or not playing well together, he’ll completely wreck us using just Scout and Deagle. All my friends in LE and above have smurfs—most of them are in MG. Don’t misunderstand, there are cheaters and a lot of them, but another ban wave is needed. The real problem is the smurfs and their low rankings.
My friends who are top players and worldwide agree on the same point. I’m MG2 and I rarely feel like someone is messing with my games. There’s one exception though—I notice cheaters more often in casual play, especially when spinbots or walls are used. The biggest issue is that when they get banned, all the wins and losses are undone, but it usually hurts other players too.
If you're really frustrated, you might want to try sc2. Although it's a different game, it offers strong competition and difficulty in spades. Cheating is less common and harder compared to cs:go because it's easy to spot when someone is cheating. Also, the community is smaller, so hackers aren't as motivated to join.
