I can't play Assassin's Creed Odyssey smoothly at 50 frames per second without frequent drops to 43. I adjusted all settings but didn't resolve the issue. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

How is the CPU usage? Their poor DRM performance in the background is consuming processing power.

CPU and memory play equally vital roles alongside the GPU. Even when using the lowest settings, my laptop (8750H + 1060 6gb non-max-Q) operates at a reduced frame rate compared to my desktop (2600k + 1070) under very high presets due to its 87% memory bandwidth and 33% higher latency.

80% CPU usage could indicate a bottleneck issue.
Keep in mind the threshold doesn't need to reach 100% to be problematic. This might happen if only one thread is limiting performance, or if the CPU's load averages across many cycles, making it seem like 80%.
It actually performs much better on my Ryzen 2700X with Vega 56 at 1440p using a combination of settings (high+).

Could we still manage to halt the bottleneck?
