Hello! I have an MSI GT72 Dominator with an i7 6700HQ inside. I'm curious about its overclocking potential and what tools or components would be best for that.

I think the Intel Extreme Utility might help a bit, similar to a BCLCK OC on a desktop, but laptop cooling solutions are generally enough for base or boost speeds only. It's unlikely you could achieve meaningful improvements without overheating.

Not familiar with other models besides the HK ones. Most mobile BIOS systems don't allow any kind of overclocking either. That's probably a good idea since the CPU is already working hard, and going further could damage it.
