The board is expected to use 3600Mhz speed RAM, though the IMC of that CPU might not reach more than 3200Mhz.

MSI B450-A Pro works with any board, but the 3600MHz RAM issue stems from your CPU. Switch to 3200MHz RAM.

The sizes refer to completely different configurations, and since DDR4 doesn’t support 2GB DIMMs, a 2x8GB module won’t work. A 2x8GB RAM stick would likely only run up to 3200 MHz.
