I attempted to play Escape from Tarkov today, but the servers are experiencing significant congestion due to the game's current high demand. I consistently encounter endless loading screens and, at other times, simply a blank display. The only method for exiting the game is to utilize Task Manager and force-close it. After repeatedly experiencing this issue, I decided to discontinue playing. It seems the problem isn't with me; the game simply wouldn’t load. However, I am curious - does terminating a game through Task Manager negatively impact my computer? Following Escape from Tarkov, I experienced a crash while playing Witcher 3 for the first time since beginning my campaign. Do you believe this is connected, or is it merely a random occurrence?

There’s a chance of this occurring, though it's improbable. A game might become unstable due to a forced shutdown solely during the setup or upgrade process, and this would only impact that specific title—not other applications. If a game freezes while you’re actively playing, even without responding, it merely halts the activity within your computer's memory and processing unit; accessing the hard drive happens only when new content, such as maps or visuals, needs to be loaded. To safeguard against potential issues, particularly if your system appears slow following a forced closure, I advise restarting your computer.

I frequently play Tarkov, and my experience is that it suffers from poor coding and inadequate optimization—it has caused problems with my system in the past.

I'll be seeing you out there, soldier – please refrain from establishing a stationary position near extraction points; I'll locate you.

There’s a chance this could happen, though it's rare. The only scenario where a game might become unstable due to a sudden closure is during the installation or update process, and this would solely impact that specific game—not any others. A forced shutdown while actively playing only halts the process within memory and the processor; accessing the hard drive occurs only when new elements like maps or graphics are being loaded. I suggest restarting your computer after a forced game closure to avert any potential issues if you’re experiencing performance problems afterward.

I enjoy playing Tarkov, and my experience with it is that the code isn’t well-written or efficiently designed; it has caused problems on my system previously.

Until we meet again, soldier, please refrain from establishing a stationary position at extraction points; I will locate you.

Unfortunately, I was unable to proceed. The game remained trapped at the initial screen with no available settings and I couldn’t exit normally. Therefore, I had to terminate it using the task manager. If you believe this doesn’t represent a problem, I'll simply await their resolution regarding Tarkov. Regarding any potential harm to your computer, could you clarify what you’re referring to?
