Is 500w sufficient for the RX 6600 XT?
Is 500w sufficient for the RX 6600 XT?
Hi guys,
I discovered a decent price on the RX 6600 XT, but my current PSU is Corsair V450. I’m thinking about upgrading.
I saw a used u9 500w for 35$ on the marketplace—it’s an older model, but I’m not too concerned.
Alternatively, there’s a Gamemax VP 700w for 37$, or an FSP HV PRO 85+ 650w for 49$.
Or maybe you have other ideas? I’m looking for something around 30$ to 50$ and live in Indonesia.
Thanks!

considering purchasing from this site should you save up for a pylon 650w priced near 57$?
I came across a similar discussion on forums where someone else asked the same question from your area. The topic is whether an FSP HV PRO is sufficient or if it should be avoided altogether. They’re inexpensive but have decent reviews on Amazon, and they should theoretically provide enough power if used properly. The place you shouldn’t compromise on is a good power supply. But budget limits are real. When shopping, consider a unit in tier A or B, but not lower than tier C.
