To wrap up this discussion, the latest clean installation and update to 24H2 have resolved everything satisfactorily. The system is now functioning properly.

I just enhanced my primary system to 24H2.
No need for a reinstall.

I think it was just a coincidence that something failed during the installation on that PC. The two I was concerned about worked fine. The one I was discussing, which I built using the used 3600 updated today, also functioned properly. The only ongoing problem I notice is that the PC still doesn’t recognize the monitor’s actual refresh rate. It’s showing values like 59.65, and there are three listings marked with an asterisk, all with fractional numbers. The highest listed refresh rate is 120.

In Task Manager, the Ethernet bandwidth color switched from pale orange to pale pink!
Crazy! I'm switching off Winblows and moving to BeOS!!!
