I’ll be honest about this: iOS 9 is mostly catching up to Android. Everything about it feels more like Android. As someone who works with iOS and Mac OS X, I appreciate some of its features, though the background stuff can feel a bit dull. Multitasking on iPads and the left swipe are back! Transit mode is finally available in Maps, and Siri is always ready. While iOS 9 adds many more tools, are you prepared for the upgrade? Will you wait or jump in? I’m planning to install iOS 9 on my iPhone and iPad Air, but I’ll hold off on my iPad Mini. My estimate is that around 70% of users will move to iOS 9 next year—everyone around us needs the latest update. This release excites me, though it isn’t the biggest change. I still enjoy iOS 6. What do you think?

Siri is always active on iOS: Great! Cortana is always on in Windows: Ugh, Microsoft sucks. Still curious about iOS 9 on my dad's iPad.

iOS 9.1 was released in June, and thanks to the fixes, the issues have been resolved.

Available for iOS, fixed for Windows. That's the difference.

I feel IOS 9 is terrible, mega balls really are. IOS 2 was great. Apple will always lag behind because that's their approach—adding features and polishing them. Personally, it doesn’t matter much since I sold most of my Apple items... my brother still uses his iPad Mini 2.

Corana. It’s always one-sided.

With Windows, Cortana attempts to understand you, but there are many other questionable features like the logger. I’d rather turn off Siri because of battery concerns and wouldn’t want it constantly listening or making noise. Most Apple users seem indifferent about privacy since they’ve already shared their personal information with Apple.

You can disable Siri on iOS while keeping it available on Windows, choosing either full access or no access at all.

With Cortana, you can limit her knowledge about you, reset her settings fully, and disable the 'Hey Cortana' voice recognition.
