Linus started with an iPhone and was a dedicated iOS user. He only moved to the M8 slightly, then stayed with it until the 6s arrived, before switching to the iPhone X. He clearly put effort into learning iOS. This person is fair when comparing iOS and Android, which is impressive. If he criticizes something, I respect his opinion. I don’t dispute whether Android works out of the box—my grandma got hers quickly too. I get why he values Apple’s ecosystem; it takes time to adjust, which is why I chose Android myself and never looked back.

He was likely talking about power users. Individuals who interact with tablets and perform many tasks. They do a lot of work.

Both arguments have merit. It appears he displayed some overuse of the anti-apple flag, especially around Luke and in certain shows. I don't think I've ever found the iOS/Mac calendars lacking...they offer multiple views of days, weeks, months, and can manage alarms. I'm not sure I use a calendar like Linus does—he probably planned every minute, possibly with a paper pilot before that, and maybe even an old manual one. That might suggest he needs something more advanced than the standard Apple version, though there are definitely better detailed scheduling apps available.

Nah, a status update would have been better. Please, if you need to make phone calls, browse the internet and send an e-mail android is just as plug and play and fumble free as ios. Pretty sure doctors and engineers use calendars too. Oh, I thought iphones were for people who don't have time to fumble around with them?

Many individuals rely on calendars just as he does. Entrepreneurs with busy schedules, politicians, doctors, professors—people like Tim Cook have packed routines and clearly appreciate tools such as the Apple calendar across various platforms. That doesn't mean Linus's concerns are unfounded. I personally don’t use it in the same way, so I didn’t fully grasp his challenges, but they’re still real. This has occasionally stood out to me. I don’t assign motives to those I’ve spoken with closely. It seems you’re the one causing trouble...status updates, especially here on this forum—or better yet, never at all. Who actually checks these updates?

Those who keep up with you and those who find them on the homepage are important, but there’s really little to talk about except strong opinions. If you wish to express your views on this, a status update is the right place—not a regular discussion thread.

They focus mainly on what they do in most of their content, and aside from Anthony, I don’t recall any video that wasn’t slightly biased. Even the Mac Pro review was expensive—why spend $10k on a gaming setup with minimal research when $6k is enough for something you used to make money from?

We also talked about that...the issue is he disagrees with Linus’s evaluation of the iOS calendar, and I’m confused about his concerns since I haven’t used it at the level Linus does. I can’t really judge how good the calendar app is beyond my remark about Tim Cook not facing the same issues as Linus, and I guess he has a busier schedule. (I’m not sure how much of a debate a calendar discussion actually is.) The main problem for the OP was his sense of unfair bias, which seems like a topic worth examining.
