IOMMU Issues
IOMMU Issues
I think this might relate to a motherboard or CPU problem (likely causing IOMMU issues), though I’m not certain I purchased the HP Elite 6300sff with an i5-3470. Both the tower and CPU support Intel Vt-D, and I’ve turned it on in the BIOS, but Unraid doesn’t show it as enabled. I’ve tried various fixes, like adding "iommu=1 iommu=pt" to syslinux.cfg, but nothing worked. Could anyone assist? If not, I’ll reach out to Unraid support.
The boot log indicates system events during startup, and searching for "IOMMU" in dmesg can reveal information about memory management features enabled at boot.
Electronics Wizardy [ 11.586553] AMD IOMMUv2 driver by Joerg Roedel <[email protected]> [ 11.586749] This feature isn't available on your system. I'm certain it's not the case, since I've enabled it in the BIOS and you're running a supported VT-d CPU.
I needed to launch a Windows installation and used HP's BCU tool to adjust Vt-D, and it functions perfectly now! Thanks!
