I'm using the game on Steam today and it performs well with the settings you selected, though I think it might be dealing with a memory issue. Since the recommended RAM is 4GB but you have double that, the game sometimes reports insufficient memory and tries to close. It shuts down shortly after. Have others noticed this problem? This is my first encounter with an issue like this.

The linked thread was fixed by someone who didn’t depend on their system RAM to make up for the GPU’s limited VRAM (1GB). When everything—including textures—is running at high settings, you’re reaching your GPU’s 2GB VRAM and using System RAM to balance it. Try medium or low textures. As noted in the source, this reflects the VRAM consumption for MGSV:GZ per texture level. Extra High uses 2270MB, High 2250MB, Medium 1500MB, Low 1480MB. Regarding memory leaks, some are occurring... there appears to be an AMD pattern in all of them.

I have 16, but I haven't reviewed it yet—I'll stay on top of it later.

The issue keeps happening, causing performance drops and using up most of your memory. To fix it, try switching to full-screen or windowed mode each time the game slows down.
