This situation has puzzled me for some time. I haven’t used my desktop PC in a while, but I’m back now. Internet speeds were extremely slow, even simple tasks like checking email took a long time to load. Streaming YouTube videos always buffered heavily, dropping to 144p constantly. Uploading files was nearly impossible—I couldn’t attach anything to emails or upload photos to Discord. My Google Drive would often appear grayed out and say offline. Overall, my connection behaved oddly; downloading drivers from AMD’s site would download the first 60% quickly, then freeze or stop. These issues have repeated over a week across different browsers and apps. I’ve checked for updates, run full antivirus scans, connected via a new Ethernet port, reset the adapter, and even used a cheap USB Wi-Fi adapter. Still, speeds stayed around 120 Mbps download but dropped to near zero upload on Speedtest. On my phone, using Wi-Fi gives 110 Mbps download and 110 upload—normal values. Other devices in the house aren’t affected; I’ve switched to my phone for video calls and file sharing since it’s much faster. The only fix I found was with a budget Wi-Fi adapter, but the core problem remains in my network card. I’m stuck and would appreciate any advice.

In data analysis most frequent issues involve loose cables. You likely secured those when you swapped ports, though mismatched connections can still occur. Other concerns might include TCP/IP problems or port forwarding errors. I’m checking if your IP falls into restricted ranges like 192.x. Updated August 19, 2022 by Bombastinator
