I recently installed my new PC and overlooked a Wi-Fi adapter, opting instead for a powerline Ethernet bridge. I previously used it with my PS4 Pro before (my PC is being retired), and it worked fine in-game except for downloads. I’m curious why I’m experiencing such slow speeds now. I’m using a Brite-View BVP-5100, if that’s necessary. Related post: My Speeds

It might be unusual wiring in your home; consider using different connectors. What is the intended data transfer rate for you?

these powerline adapters are not particularly fast; they usually perform adequately but don’t offer much speed. it’s best to check your router’s speed and compare the two options.

Your test is running on the same Wi-Fi network, likely using either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz depending on your router's configuration. The 5 GHz band offers faster speeds but has a shorter range, while 2.4 GHz provides broader coverage. You can switch to the 5 GHz band if your router supports it for improved performance.

I would attribute it to the powerline adapter.
