Internet speed is slower on your PC when using Ethernet compared to your phone.
I have connected my PC to the router using an Ethernet cable, after testing multiple cables including a Cat 5e. During simultaneous speed tests, my PC consistently achieves download speeds ranging from 30 to 40 Mbps, while my phone reports 160-200 Mbps. Both devices are located in the same room, which is quite disappointing since the wired connection performs better. I also tried updating the latest Realtek internet drivers, but no improvement was noticed. I’m looking for possible solutions to this issue.
On a Windows system, I recently faced the same problem. Speed dropped from 300mbps to just 5-10mbps. It turned out the update had caused the issue. I attempted to remove the latest updates without success. After a fresh Windows reinstall, the problem resolved and performance returned to normal. Be sure to back up your User folder before reinstalling Windows to protect personal files.
