Recently my family relocated and didn’t have internet access, so we purchased a SIM card internet plan. We used a mobile hotspot via my phone and previously managed USB tethering with our PC, which usually took 30 to 60 days for setup. This time I connected it on Monday and faced no issues—my PC had stable internet and I could stream or download content smoothly. After closing down the computer, I realized it lost connection despite the device still being linked and sharing the network. The next day I tried tethering again but still got no signal on my PC. It displayed the yellow triangle, so I used Windows Diagnostics and searched online for solutions, but nothing worked. I called a friend who also had trouble, but Tcom arrived quickly. They connected the router, but I still couldn’t get internet through USB or Ethernet. I uninstalled all drivers, tried safe mode, updated them, reset the PC, and even changed the port, but nothing resolved the problem. Now I’m writing this from safe mode, hoping for assistance—I’m really desperate to fix this and make my PC work properly.
It seems this was likely a software update. Did you use an antivirus tool that might have detected it as malicious? Also, verify your internet settings, as they could have been modified.
