Hi everyone, a few days back I upgraded my UEFI which forced me to reset my Windows 8.1 PC to factory settings. Now I’m experiencing very slow uploads—around 0.003MB/s—and web pages or Steam games load extremely slowly. Occasionally I manage to stream HD videos on YouTube. My machine is an Asus ROG CG8480, and I’m using a Netgear WNA3100 as my Wi-Fi adapter. Even when connecting my Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo via Wi-Fi with USB-TETHER enabled, the upload speeds remain poor. Could someone please assist me?

Welcome to the Forum. These two points shouldn't be linked, yet those speeds are extremely poor. I’d first verify you weren’t using the internet connection for activities like torrenting or background downloads. Then I’d reach out to my ISP.

Restart your router or modem, then verify the Device Manager as well. Look for available updates for your network drivers or visit the manufacturer’s site.
