Hey everyone! I recently changed my motherboards—switched from Z370 HD3P to Z390 Aorus Elite from Gigabyte. My Wake on LAN stopped functioning properly. I understand WOL isn’t meant for internet use, but it worked fine before, so I’m working hard to get it back. Now, when I try to put my PC to sleep or hibernate, it turns on remotely even after hours off. It only activates after about 10 minutes of sleep or hibernation.

I use TeamViewer’s built-in WOL feature with DDNS, which seems to work without needing a MAC address. I’ve also tried a solution from depicus.com that requires an IP (still using DDNS) and a MAC address, but it gives the same results. I’m not sure if either will help, but it’s interesting that it didn’t boot from shutdown before—now it does for a short time. WOL works perfectly on my home network even after long periods off, which is why I’m trying to get it working again.

I’ve checked all the settings: Intel adapter is set up correctly (WOL and power saving features disabled), fast boot is off, NetBIOS over TCP/IP disabled, BIOS ErP is off, and Wake-on-Lan is enabled. No other WOL-related options are available. I’ve also enabled port forwarding on my router for ports 7 and 9. I’m a bit tech-savvy with PCs but have no experience with networking or routers. Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated!
