I’m a lone individual planning to live independently. I stream on Steam regularly, occasionally watch Prime Video, and when Netflix is available, I’ll have a 4K HD TV, a smartphone, and a computer that I intend to upgrade for 1440p gaming. Regarding your internet needs, you should consider a package offering around 100–150 Mbps, especially with multiple devices like TVs, laptops, and a gaming tower. Your local provider’s 60 or 100 Mbps plans may be insufficient given your usage. Fast.com reported 85 Mbps, which is decent but likely won’t suffice for gaming.

You mentioned clearly that 60Mbps suffices. However, the extra cost might offer advantages when downloading larger files.

You should be okay with 60 Mbps. Whether the additional 40 Mbps adds value depends on your budget and needs.

Just bear in mind faster = less time to download new games on Steam. How often you need to delete/install games on your storage is relevant, although you could also just pump the money saved from getting the slower service into getting more storage.
