Hi everyone. I’m setting up my network after switching ISPs to fiber. The provider only offers WPA2 encryption, so I’m considering the Asus GS-AX3000 for better security. I’m on Windows 10 and haven’t been able to update the router to support WPA3 yet. My main concern is whether I need a separate modem or if I can stick with my current setup. Thanks!

For home use WPA2 is sufficient. You seem overly cautious. To connect the new router, link the ISP router to the new one via LAN and rely solely on its Wi-Fi. No, you must purchase a fresh router and use the existing one as the modem. You can't just connect any modem—it needs official registration by the technician to function. They typically won’t approve third-party modems.
