Jumbo Frames are actually not essential these days, and based on my experience they can lead to problems online. If everything functions properly initially, the impact is minimal—unless your CPU is weak, as it seems to work fine in Linux. It’s odd when the Switch displays 10Gbps while Windows shows only 1Gbps; that discrepancy doesn’t seem realistic.

Alex, I'm not sure if my CPU (i7-5930k, 6 cores, 12 threads, 4.4Ghz) feels weak, but it's not bad at all—definitely more than enough for 10 Gbit traffic. The Linux test aimed to rule out a hardware problem and confirmed the issue lies with how Windows interacts with the X520-T2. I agree on jumbo frames, though that was just a test to see if I could push speeds beyond gigabit in Windows. Thanks for your help, anything else you think I should try? Cheers, -David

I fixed the problem by reinstalling Windows. Now it displays 1.0 gbps when choosing speed, but switching to auto negotiation lets it reach 10 gbps. Appreciate the assistance!
